Mug-Bugg
age 5 & 1/2 |
Muggy
was our first bulldog.
He's is quite different than the normal lay
around and snore type.
He's very active and playful even at 6 &
1/2.
He was shown as a pup but was too
rambunctious for the show ring.
He hadn't yet learned he was to be placid
and dignified, and at one of his shows,
preferred to jump up and lick
the judge in the face,
knocking her glasses off. LOL
He got 3rd...
Muggy would make an excellent agility
dog as he loves to run and jump and he's
very intelligent and easy to train.
Fortunately for him, his breeder who had
been breeding bulldogs for many years,
had managed to breed a lot of the
breathing problems out of his lines.
He doesn't have the breathing problems
many bullies have and doesn't get over
heated as easily as many do.
His eyes are good, no entropian, no
allergies, no stenotic nares no
breathing problems. He has no hip, heart
or knee problems.
He weighs around 50 lbs and is solid muscle.
He's a hoot to have around
and loves everyone.
Muggy is available for stud on private treaty

We bought Emmie
from a breeder at
a little over a year
and 1/2 of age.
She has done extremely well
adapting to home life
and living indoors.
She's your proverbial couch potato,
unless you have *food*
or a cool toy to play with.
She's very sweet, laid back and loving.
And can smile and wiggle her whole
body and does the
happy dance when she's happy.
Which is most of the time.
She's fairly active outdoors when she
wants to be and can run
almost as fast as Muggy.
She also doesn't have any of the
breathing problems or allergies you
see in many bullies.
She is solid muscle and weighs about 48 lbs.
She is registered with OFA
in the cardiac database.

If I didn't
have dogs.....
1) I could
walk around safely barefoot in the dark;
2) My house
could be carpeted instead of tiled and
laminated;
3) All flat
surfaces, clothing, furniture, and cars
would be
free of dog
hair;
4) When the
doorbell rang, it wouldn't sound like the
SPCA kennels;
5) When the
doorbell rang, I could get to the door
without wading
thru four or five dog bodies who beat me there;
6) I could
sit how I wanted to on the couch or lie in my bed without
taking into
consideration where several little furbodies would
need to get;
7) I would
not have strange presents under my
tree....like
dog toys, stuffed animals and have to answer to people why I
wrap them
up;
8) I would
not be on a first name basis with a vet;
9) Most used
words in my vocabulary would not be:
potty, outside,
sit, down, shut up,
come, no,
and leave him/her ALONE;
10) My house
would not be cordoned off into zones with
baby gates,
and tons of scented candles and assorted fragranced spays in every room;
11) My purse
would not contain things like poop pick
up bags,
real lemon, and dog treats;
12) I would
no longer have to spell the world B-A-L-L
and G-O;
13) I would
not buy weird things to stuff into
"kongs",
or have to explain why I'm buying them, or what a "kong" is;
14) I would
not have as many leaves INSIDE my house as outside;
15) I would
not look strangely at people who think having their ONE dog ties them down
too much;
16) I would
not have to answer the question... "Why do you have so many dogs?"..
From people
who will never have the joy in their life of
knowing they
are loved unconditionally by something as close to an angel as
they will
ever get.
Who else has
a friend who considers you the MOST important
thing in
the whole wide world all the time.:-)
